Textile Layout Machine Operator

Transform raw materials such as rubber, plastic, and fabric into finished fencing screens using various machines:  cutting, grommet machines, presser and assembly techniques.  Your attention to detail, precision, and dedication to high production standards along with agility will be essential for success in this role.  

Pay: $20/Hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6AM - 2:30PM

Job Highlights:

• Prep and Organize raw materials, ensuring measured and cut to specs
• Read and understand Blueprints
• Layout & Cutting: Mark layout lines or positions on materials using templates, rulers, and scribes to ensure accurate cuts
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products for precise dimensions, edge smoothness, and surface defects (wrinkles, errors)
• Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and replace worn blades or tools to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Documentation: Record production data, including material usage, quantities produced, and maintenance logs
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective gear, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Self monitor the quality of finished products.  ID defects and make adjustments

What we look for the Textile Team 

• Agile, with ability to lift max of 50 pounds, bend squat, kneel, and stand during a shift
• Industrial Sewing experience is a PLUS!!!!
• Ability and enjoyment working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills for accurate measurement and calculations
• Excellent Attention to Detail and natural desire for accuracy 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• HS or equivalent required.
