Structural Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Structural Steel Fitter to join our construction and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining structural steel components used in various building projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience on construction sites, proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and FCAW, and a solid understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical schematics. Your expertise will ensure the safe, precise, and efficient assembly of steel frameworks, contributing to the successful completion of complex projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel structures
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to cut, shape, and assemble steel components
• Perform welding operations including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding to join steel parts according to ASME codes & standards
• Operate cranes and rigging equipment safely to lift and position heavy steel sections during assembly
• Measure materials with precision using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure proper fitment
• Fabricate ductwork, pipe threading, and sheet metal components for structural applications
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to scaffolding, rigging, and machinery operation
• Assist in mechanical assembly tasks involving schematics and mechanical knowledge
• Support manufacturing processes through machining, soldering, and plasma cutting as required
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld
