Location: Mokena, IL 
Status: Part-Time (up to 29 hours/week), Temporary, In-Office
Pay Range: $16.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 7:00am–5:00pm
(Example options: 3 days @ 8 hours/day or 5 days @ 6 hours/day; final schedule determined with hiring manager)
Reports To: Professional Testing & Certification Manager


About the Role

The Data Entry Clerk provides administrative and operational support to the ASSE Programs team. This is an entry-level, part-time, in-office position ideal for someone detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn. Training will be provided, and the team is looking for candidates who can start interviewing quickly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate data entry to support ASSE Programs.
  • Assemble, copy, and prepare mailings and ship exam materials.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Pull simple system-generated reports.
  • Maintain record systems and assist with proofreading documents.
  • Contribute to departmental projects as a collaborative team member.
  • Follow instructions, communicate effectively, and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the supervisor and department leaders on various projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to company policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of administrative or clerical experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with consistent, accurate work.
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and work independently.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Receptive to coaching, instruction, and feedback.
  • Customer-focused mindset and professional demeanor.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Able to interact professionally with staff, leadership, vendors, and others.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
  • No travel required.
