About the Opportunity

Are you a mechanically inclined trades professional who enjoys troubleshooting, rebuilding, and bringing industrial equipment back to life?

We are currently hiring a Millwright / Rotating Equipment Technician for a well-established Hamilton company specializing in pump repair, reverse engineering, precision machining, and aftermarket industrial components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work in a clean, well-equipped shop environment where no two projects are the same.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians rebuilding and repairing industrial pumps and rotating equipment for a wide range of industries while continuing to grow your mechanical and machining skillset.

Wage:

$30.00 – $35.00 per hour to start

What You’ll Be Doing

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment
• Diagnose mechanical wear, damage, and repair requirements
• Perform precision mechanical assembly and alignment of equipment and components
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Assist with machining, balancing, and repair processes within the shop
• Repair, prep, and restore castings and mechanical components for rebuild
• Work closely with senior technicians and machinists to complete custom repair projects
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, pump repair, millwrighting, or rotating equipment
• Experience working with industrial pumps and mechanical equipment is required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented attitude
• Experience in a machine shop, maintenance shop, or industrial repair environment considered an asset

Additional Assets:

• Welding experience
• Forklift certification
• General Machinist certification
• Experience operating balancing equipment or EDM machinery
