Press Operator Support - Day's

Located in Lake Oswego, OR

Salary: $17 - $18/hr.

A client of ours in Lake Oswego is looking to add a Press Operator Assistant to their team. They are looking for someone with prior experience in this role, but would also offer training to someone who is looking to grow in the company.

This is an evaluation for a full-time hire position. 

Duties:

• Follows guidance and direction from Press Operator
• Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press
• Fills ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks
• Inserts the shaft through the core and secures the roll on the press in the feed position.
• Splices end of roll to stock remaining on press and adjusts tension and feed as directed.
• Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.
• Cleans plates, print cylinders and dies as needed.
• Assists in the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required.
• Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):

• HS Diploma/GED
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.

Pay: $18/hr. 

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 5:30 am- 2 pm
