Position Summary

The Manufacturing Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment. This role supports overall operations by ensuring all work areas, equipment, and common spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production floors, restrooms, break rooms, and office areas
• Remove trash, recyclables, and production waste in a timely manner
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using industrial cleaning equipment
• Maintain cleanliness around machinery and production lines (following safety guidelines)
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
• Support production team with general housekeeping duties as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
