Ready to take the next step in your culinary career? We’re seeking a Sous Chef / Lead Cook to help oversee daily kitchen operations at a well-established residential treatment center serving three meals a day, seven days a week.

💲 Pay: $16/hour
📍 Location: Jacksonville, IL
🗓 Schedule: Wed–Fri 9:30am–6:30pm | Sat 5:00am–6:00pm
⏳ Type: Evaluation Hire (long-term growth opportunity)

👨‍🍳 What You’ll Do:
✔️ Lead and execute daily food prep using standardized recipes
✔️ Ensure consistency, quality, and timely meal service
✔️ Operate and oversee use of commercial kitchen equipment
✔️ Support kitchen flow, cleanliness, and organization
✔️ Assist with inventory awareness and minimizing food waste

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Previous kitchen experience (lead or senior line cook experience preferred)
• Ability to take ownership and keep operations running smoothly
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain pace
