Position Summary

A Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and consistency in a fast-paced seafood kitchen.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook seafood dishes (grilled, fried, sautéed, etc.) according to recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
  • Ensure food is plated correctly and meets presentation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations (proper handling of fish and shellfish is critical)
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy hours
  • Assist with prep work such as cutting, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies run low
  • Properly store food items to prevent spoilage and contamination

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook (seafood experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, frying, broiling, sautéing)
  • English / Spanish
