Screen Printing Operator

Reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards ? Set up and operate manual screen-printing presses to produce printed designs on various fabrics, including polyester and nylon. ? Read and understand instructions for each work order for job being produced ? Mix correct PMS colors and prepare inks according to color specifications and print requirements ? Inspect screens prior to set-up and monitor print runs to detect defects, such as ink smudges or registration errors, and make adjustments as necessary ? Always print (1) initial sample for manager approval for each new job. ? Verify correct quantities and communicate shortages or damages for prompt replacement. ? Maintain consistent print quality throughout production runs by monitoring ink viscosity, screen tension, and other variables ? Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts ? Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime ? Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area ? Clean screens with proper solvent, let dry and inspect for pin holes and line with character flaws ? Inform management when new screens are needed ? Responsible for ink and silkscreen inventories
