Production / General Labour Associate – Contract
Location: Fergus, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM – Contract (4–6 weeks, potential extension)
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a local organization for Production / General Labour Associates.
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials for quality and dispense production materials into containers/equipment
- Perform rolling, processing, and other tasks to develop end products
- Operate production and support machinery; report maintenance issues
- Assist with production paperwork, inventory, and material movement
- Support equipment start-up and shutdown at the beginning and end of shifts
- Maintain quality checks, proper product identification, and cleanliness of work areas
- Participate in safety programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and housekeeping
- Work in robotic cells: monitor automation, ensure proper functioning, optimize operations, and assist with procedures/work instructions
- Rags and Trawl duties: wear a Tyvek suit due to the nature of the work; no contact lenses for safety reasons
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation (car required)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a fast-paced production environment
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods
