Warehouse Forklift Operator / Material Handler

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our production and shipping operations. In this role, you’ll ensure materials and produce are delivered to the production area on time, maintain accurate inventory records, and help keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently. This position requires working in cold storage environments and performing physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply the production area with produce and materials as needed

• Load and unload trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently

• Maintain accurate inventory records using scanners and computer systems, including performing cycle counts

• Ensure warehouse operations remain organized, clean, and safe

• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on forklifts and related equipment

• Follow written and verbal instructions in English, including reading product labels and documentation

Performance Expectations

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory with minimal discrepancies

• Support production and shipping schedules through timely loading and unloading

• Contribute to a safe, well-organized warehouse environment with properly maintained equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 2 years of forklift experience, including both stand-up and sit-down equipment

• Experience working in warehouse or cold storage environments with exposure to varying temperatures

• Proficiency using hand scanners and computer-based inventory systems

• Ability to read and understand product labels, documentation, and instructions in English

• Strong attention to detail to prevent product damage and ensure inventory accuracy

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow company policies consistently

• Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in extreme cold for extended periods

• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to operate equipment and use hands and fingers continuously while sitting or standing
