CNC Machinist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinists for a client in the Rochester area!

This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with machining processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or routers)
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Load raw materials and ensure proper machine alignment and setup
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve machining issues
Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance
Ensure all parts meet quality and tolerance specifications
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)
2+ years of CNC machining experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (preferred)
Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or similar equipment
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CNC programming (G-code, Mastercam, or similar)
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds
Setup experience (highly preferred for advanced roles)
