Refractory Tech

Located in Grants Pass, OR

Salary: 20-25 DOE

Express is currently hiring for a Refractory Tech to work with one of the largest Boiler refractory services in the country.  Work requires travel and applicants must be willing to work lots of OT!  All transportation, lodging and food is provided while traveling.   

General duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for mixing refractory
• Manufacture variety of weights, densities and chemical makeups
• Manufacture for unique applications
• Mixture adjusted depending on outside temperature, equipment being used and area of installation
• Refractory shotcreting, gunning, mixing and pump operator
• Refractory demolition technician
• General clean up and organization
• Miscellaneous shop duties

Required skills, training, education, certificates, licenses etc:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Safety training as provided by the company

Physical demands:

• Standing, walking, sustained physical effort, lifting, working in a shop environment as well as outdoors
• Ability to communicate with company personnel as well as visiting vendors and delivery personnel

• Must adhere to work schedules including break and lunch times
• Must treat all co-worker in a professional and respectful manner
• Must employ safe practices at all times
• Must adhere to all rules in the company handbook
