Our client in Des Moines, IA is looking for an Inside Sales Representative!

Position Summary:
This is a full-time position based in the Des Moines office with some travel required. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new sales opportunities within those accounts. This role involves daily interaction to ensure customer orders are processed according to expectations, as well as generating and following up on new prospects. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with clients and internal teams to meet sales targets and respond to customer inquiries promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prospect and develop new OEM accounts within target industries
• Generate new leads through web research, networking, and industry database searches
• Contact new and existing customers to assess needs and present tailored solutions
• Communicate with customers regarding orders, quotes, and service concerns
• Prepare and process sales orders
• Generate and follow up on quotes in a timely manner
• Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment
• Maintain accurate CRM activity and pipeline tracking
• Support marketing-related sales activities
• Assist other departments as needed

Qualifications:
• 2+ years of inside B2B sales experience (industrial or electrical preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing sales (wire/cable or PCB industry preferred)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and CRM/databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sell value over price
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to lift 20–40 lbs occasionally
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Professional communication with customers and team members

Hours:
Full-time; overtime as needed

Pay:
$25.00 – $30.00/hour DOE
