A premier manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village is seeking a skilled, independent TIG/MIG Welder to take ownership of their station and deliver high-standard metalwork. We are looking for professionals who take pride in their craft and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Schedule: 3:30PM-12:00AM

• Welder I Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (Depends on experience)

• Welder II Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (Depends on experience)

$500 Sign on Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up all necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs; arrange parts for welding and staging processes.
• Perform quality checks per the control plan; use quality measuring equipment to verify tolerances and document all results.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow all prescribed safety procedures.
• Learn and demonstrate ongoing commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Read and comprehend instructions, print tolerances, and welding symbols; write simple correspondence as needed.
• Cross-train in multiple workstations and assist in other work areas as assigned by the Lead.

Requirements:

• 1+ years in a metal manufacturing setting required.
• Must have TIG welding experience.
• Proficiency with stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum sheet metal (testing required).
• Ability to pass AWS certifications for MIG welding (steel and aluminum).
• Basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances, and measuring tools.
• Solid math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units)
