Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mitsubishi CO2 laser cutting equipment
• Use SigmaNest software to input, edit, and optimize laser programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and cut sheets
• Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal) and finished parts
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality, accuracy, and tolerances
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet schedules

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of experience operating a CO2 laser in a metal fabrication environment
• Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi laser systems (required)
• Proficiency with SigmaNest for laser programming and nesting
• Strong understanding of sheet metal processing and laser cutting parameters
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

• Experience cutting steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Basic CNC or fabrication shop background
• Forklift or material-handling experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
