Responsibilities

  • Check patients in and out while maintaining a friendly and professional environment
  • Verify insurance information and assist with basic billing and coding tasks
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas for patient care
  • Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
  • Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating records
  • Support the chiropractor during examinations and treatments by preparing equipment and rooms
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer general questions about procedures
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment areas in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as needed
  • Assist the doctor with daily tasks, including both office work and patient interaction
  • Learn and properly execute office procedures and protocols

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chiropractic, medical, or healthcare office setting
  • Proven experience with patient intake, scheduling, and front desk operations
  • Hands-on experience verifying insurance and assisting with basic billing/coding tasks
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
  • Experience maintaining accurate patient records and handling confidential information (HIPAA compliance required)
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and clinical protocols with accuracy

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience specifically in a chiropractic or physical therapy clinic
  • Familiarity with chiropractic therapies and rehabilitation exercises
  • Prior experience assisting during patient treatments
