Our Scarborough client, a leader in the custom design furniture industry, has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Operate Counterbalance and Raymond Reach Forklifts (80%) and Shipping/Receiving (20%)
• Receive incoming shipments, check for damages and verify accuracy against packing slips
• Sort and organize stock within warehouse
• Maintain accurate records of invoices sent and received
• Contact suppliers to resolve any shipping issues
• Take part in the annual inventory counts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years of Forklift experience (Counterbalance and Raymond Reach)
• 3-5 years of Shipping and Receiving experience
• Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance and Raymond Reach)
• Comfortable lifting upto 50lbs
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Great communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detail oriented, good organizational skills and able to multi-task
• Comfortable working in a noisy/dusty environment
• Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures

Bonus Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Shipping Management and Transaction Software
• Able to think quickly and resolve issues
• Great attitude to work in a team environment and have an aptitude for learning new things
• Physically comfortable with repetitive movement and standing for long periods of time

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:25am to 4:25pm / Friday: 7:25am to 1:25pm
• Pay Rate: $20-22 per hour (based on experience)
