Apstar Operator - Die Cutter

General Description of Position: 1st shift and 2nd shift

 

The Apstar Operator is responsible for operations and record keeping on all sheet, pad, and box orders routed to the Apstar. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Receives material and compares to corresponding master, visually inspects for discrepancies and notifies supervisor if any found.

 

Set up machine according to order master requirements.

 

Makes necessary adjustments required for box compliance and quality standards.

 

Records and maintains all pertinent information about orders regarding hours worked, machine downtime, etc.

 

Performs some machine maintenance using basic hand tools.

 

Provides training for Helper and/or employees/temporary staffing to provide backup for operator when situation dictates.  Makes “team” effort to accomplish tasks.

 

Maintains quality standards as set for in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Procedures Manual.  Communicates these standards to Hycorr Helper.  Reports any conditions affecting quality standards to supervisor.

 

Understands and practices all safety requirements and regulations as set for in Corporate Safety Manual and OSHA.

 

Practices good housekeeping habits on machine and in work areas.

 

Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.  Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
