General Laborer

Overview The General Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that ensure an efficient, high‑quality painting and powder‑coating operation. This role requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to support multiple stages of the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and perform all aspects of metal preparation required for high‑quality powder coating. This includes the use of tools such as hand sanders, dual‑action sanders, right‑angle grinders, drills, and other equipment as needed.

• Learn and perform all tasks related to hanging parts for coating.

• Learn and perform washing and cleaning processes using a pressure washer and approved chemicals.

• Inspect and package finished parts according to customer specifications.

• Conduct visual inspections before and after each task to ensure quality standards are met.

• Rotate through various tasks to maintain cross‑training and operational flexibility.

• Operate ovens and monitor temperatures and cycle times when required.

• Accept direction, coaching, and feedback from supervisors to ensure proper task execution.

• Identify and report defective parts, materials, or questionable conditions to management.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part drawings, and related documents.

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and carry it up to 50 feet.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Must be able to wear required PPE as determined by management.

• Ability to work in varying temperature environments.

• Availability for overtime, including Saturdays or extended hours, as needed.

Tools & Equipment Used

• Dual‑action palm sanders, right‑angle grinders, drills, and other metal preparation tools.

• Pressure washer and pump bottles.

• Vacuum cleaner and other cleaning equipment.

• Additional tools as required by the operation.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Pay: $17+/Hr DOE
