Salary: 75k-85k DOE
Hours: Morning Shift. Monday through Friday.
Position Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
• Product understanding of different equipment offered as part of the equipment line, including specifications, components, and intended use in customer applications.
• Work with fellow personnel within the sales department to develop AutoCAD layout drawings showing equipment within customer applications for all offerings and related equipment.
• Create unit equipment (standalone) proposals based on established pricing data.
• Customer Interaction (phone or email):
– Engage with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide guidance and equipment selection to meet their needs.
• Quote support for sales:
o Record customer inquiries:
▪ Assign proposal numbers and document them into the electronic proposal log.
▪ Save all electronic email correspondence for proposals into job and/or proposal system files.
o Review all proposals by others within the sales department to ensure accuracy and proper technical terminology.
o Coordinate communication of all quotes between the sales department and the customer.
o Receive all equipment and/or system purchase orders from customers.
o Provide order confirmations with appropriate job numbers to verify receipt of orders.
o Create job folders (electronic and paper) for each sale and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
• Develop and maintain internal and external cross-functional relationships necessary to achieve business objectives.
Experience:
• Good working knowledge of Autodesk and AutoCAD software
• Ability and experience to understand food manufacturing and/or equipment manufacturing industries
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a CAD design position within manufacturing and/or equipment manufacturing industries
• Positive and optimistic outlook that inspires confidence and trust
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Willingness and desire to use professional selling and negotiating skills
• Honest, ethical, and demonstrates integrity
• Willingness to travel out of town and overnight as needed
• Strong computer skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; a degree in one or both is a plus
Education:
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing and promoting products and services
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications

• Ability to negotiate with customers and finalize pricing, terms, and conditions for complex system proposals using established guidelines and sound business judgment
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required to support sales of new equipment, aftermarket service, spare parts, upgrades, training, inspections, and refurbishments
• Ability to support trade shows and marketing events
• Ability to collect, analyze, and use market intelligence regarding competitors, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits
Essential Job Functions:
• Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed
• Constant use of a computer and other office equipment (calculator, copier, printers)
