A high-performance rim shop specializing in custom aluminum wheels for off-roading vehicles—from overlanding rigs and weekend trail toys to serious competition builds. The team is expanding, and are looking for a skilled TIG Aluminum Welder who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and thrives in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Position Overview

The TIG Aluminum Welder will be responsible for welding, repairing, and customizing aluminum rims and components. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent weld quality, and the ability to work with various gauges of aluminum commonly used in wheel manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum wheels, beadlocks, and rim components
• Repair damaged rims including crack fills, bends, and structural reinforcement
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and fabrication specs
• Operate shop equipment such as grinders, sanders, polishers, and CNC prep tools
• Inspect welds for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaborate with fabrication and customization teams on specialty builds
• Follow production timelines to meet customer demand and shop goals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience (aluminum welding required)
• Strong understanding of aluminum heat control and distortion prevention
• Experience working with wheels, automotive components, or performance parts is a plus
• Ability to produce clean, consistent weld beads on thin and thick aluminum
• Comfort operating fabrication tools and measuring equipment
• Strong work ethic with reliability and attention to detail
• Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Experience with off-road or motorsports fabrication
• Polishing or wheel refinishing experience
• Basic CNC knowledge or rim machining prep
• Ability to spot structural issues in rims and recommend proper repair
