Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and experienced Fence Foreman / Crew Lead to take ownership of job sites and lead a high-performing crew. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently direct a team, communicate effectively with customers, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and with high quality. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who takes pride in your work, communicates clearly with both your team and customers, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You don’t just complete jobs—you own them from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage crew performance on job sites (typically supervising 3–6+ team members)
  • Execute projects based on work orders, basic prints, and timelines
  • Oversee day-to-day job site operations and ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure expectations are met and satisfaction is achieved
  • Maintain strong quality control to minimize errors and rework
  • Problem-solve and make decisions in the field as challenges arise
  • Ensure crews stay on schedule and projects are completed on time
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision while taking full ownership of outcomes

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in construction or fencing
  • Previous experience as a crew lead, foreman, or lead installer
  • Proven experience managing or directing teams on job sites
  • Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to confidently direct a crew
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (customer-facing experience required)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Reliable, accountable, and self-motivated
  • Ability to read and follow work orders or basic prints
  • Effective time management skills to keep projects on schedule

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Physically active role involving standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the day
  • Construction-based work environment
