Construction Sales Representative

Construction Sales Representative Job Summary:
A leading distributor of premium window and door products is seeking a motivated and results-driven Construction Sales Representative to support business growth through relationship development, new customer acquisition, and sales execution in the Grand Rapids, Michigan market. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business with home builders, contractors, and remodelers, presenting tailored product solutions, and guiding customers through the sales and order process.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and goal-oriented, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through project completion.
Construction Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and CRM-driven outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with home builders, contractors, and remodelers within the assigned territory
- Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate window and door solutions based on project requirements
- Present product offerings, features, and value propositions to prospective and existing customers
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person with timely and accurate information
- Manage customer onboarding and initial order processes, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, customer service, and support staff) to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
- Track and manage customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity within the CRM system
- Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting expectations related to product quality, delivery timelines, and service
- Maintain ongoing relationships to support repeat business and long-term account growth
- Meet or exceed established sales and profitability goals
- Support marketing and business development initiatives as needed
- Attend frequent in-person meetings with customers at job sites, offices, or showrooms
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales efforts
Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule: Full-Time (field-based role)
- Compensation: $60,000-$100,000 + commission, based on experience
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage a sales pipeline
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to meet or exceed sales targets
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Occasional lifting of materials or product samples up to 50 lbs.
- Use of measuring tools and basic technical equipment as needed
