Shop Technician – 1st Shift – $16-$18/hour | Mason City, IA

Pay and Hours:

• $16–$18/hour (based on experience)
• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Fall hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose issues by inspecting motors and using testing equipment
• Disassemble and repair motors, pumps, generators, and gearboxes
• Repair or replace worn parts such as bearings, seals, and shafts
• Reassemble equipment and test for proper operation and performance
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Document repairs, parts used, and service records
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly
• Lift and move motors and equipment as needed
• Stand for extended periods and work with tools regularly

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean background required
• Ability to lift heavy equipment
• Comfortable standing for long periods
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
• Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
