Job Title: Landscape Laborer

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance and installation tasks, including mowing, planting, mulching, pruning, and weeding
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools; ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition
• Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining professional, courteous communication
• Follow instructions accurately and complete tasks efficiently with attention to detail
• Load, unload, and transport materials as needed
• Maintain a positive, win-win attitude while contributing to team goals

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of landscaping experience and 1 year of landscape maintenance experience
• Knowledge: Familiarity with turf, perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees
• Skills: Basic math, reading, and writing skills; strong verbal communication
• Availability: Able to work long seasonal hours, including weekends as needed
• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to provide reliable transportation to the job site
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to the Helena, MT area before starting work

Physical Demands

This position requires substantial physical activity, including:

• Working outdoors in rain and extreme temperatures
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 125 lbs
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and balancing
• Walking at a brisk pace and working in kneeling positions for extended periods

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $16.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal, In-person
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with weekend availability
• Shift Lengths: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
