Part-time Staff Accountant

Express Employment Professionals is hiring for our client! We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting team in payroll and accounts payable. This is a part-time position with potential for full-time, paying $28/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, payroll taxes, and payroll deductions accurately
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
• Maintain vendor files and 1099 documentation
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities
• Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate Degree or 3+ years experience in Accounting required
• 1+ year experience with QuickBooks and accounting systems
• 3+ years payroll and accounts payable experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Dependable, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
