Furnace Specialist - SWING

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to take on a dynamic role at the heart of our manufacturing process. As a Furnace Specialist, you’ll be responsible for transforming “green” molded parts into high-quality sintered products while supporting a range of technical, inspection, and data-driven responsibilities. Location: Tualatin

Duties:

• Schedule, load, startup, unload and clean furnaces between each run.
• Perform metallurgical inspection after each run to determine product quality and work with engineers or maintenance to fix any product quality or maintenance problems.
• Prioritize and schedule which lots will run in each furnace load.
• Use and clean Leco carbon analyzers.
• Create metallurgical sample mounts and determine grain size.
• Data collection including carbon and density entered in filemaker/PLEX
• Check actual furnace temperatures on an hourly basis.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills and data entry skills.
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.

Pay: $19.50/hr

Schedule: 

Thursday - Saturday; 3:00PM - 11:30PM
