Quality Engineer

Located in Glastonbury, CT

Salary: $85,000-100,000

Quality Engineer | Direct Hire

 

Location: Glastonbury, CT

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm

Pay rate: $85,000-$100,000

 

Responsibilities:

• Generate new routing WIs and update existing WIs
• Champion FAIRs and PPAPs per customer requests
• Production floor support as needed
• SolidWorks design work as necessary
• Acts as a liaison between the quality group and manufacturing to help ensure stable production output to minimize customer returns and in-process delays
• Assist with LEAN projects as needed
• Assist in programming automated inspection equipment
• Use SPC data analysis to improve production processes and standardize
• Help with material verification review and retention
• Troubleshoot maintenance and repairs on production machines
• Help assist with customer support communications

 

Requirements:

• 8+ years of quality engineering background in manufacturing experience or equivalent BS in Engineering
• Knowledge with Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and AS9100
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Self-driven, task-oriented professional
• Familiar with standard Microsoft Office suite programs
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (E2/JobBoss would be a plus)
• Certified ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditor, is a plus
• Experience with chemical etching, metal forming, metal working, is a plus
• English oral and written communication skills
