Manufacturing Secondary Operator

Located in Barrington, IL

Salary: $16/hr

Our client is seeking 2 reliable and motivated Secondary Operators to support their secondary manufacturing department. This role is responsible for performing a variety of secondary operations on precision-machined parts while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Position Type: Eval-to-hire 

Location: Barrington, IL

Training: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Regular Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM

Pay Rate:

• $16.00/hr during the evaluation period
• Increases to $17.60/hour upon permanent hire

Key Responsibilities

• Perform barring, deburring, washing, and sand blasting operations on precision parts
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and blueprint specifications
• Operate hand tools and power tools as required
• Assist other secondary departments and operations as needed
• Log production data accurately within the company’s computer system (Epicor)
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status and quality

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or secondary operations preferred (barring, inspecting, sand blasting, deburring, or use of power tools)
• Ability to work independently while following verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn
• Comfortable with extended periods of sitting, with periodic movement between work areas
• Basic computer/data entry skills
