2nd Shift Material Handler

Located in Columbus, IN

Salary: $18/hr

Company Information: A company in Columbus, Indiana is hiring Material Handlers to their team! 

 

The Material Handler will:

• Responsible for unloading, receiving, storing, loading, and shipping all products. 
• Work areas include the shipping/receiving docks, coolers, and trailer yard/storage.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as manual/electric pallet jacks, pallet rider jack, reach truck, and tractor/spotter.
• Accurately ship and receive products. 
• Properly load, unload, and handle materials.
• Validate receipts and shipments. 
• Complete all required paperwork accurately. 
• Organize and plan shipments, storage, and receipts based on priorities. 
• Operate material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. 
• Communicate effectively with internal customers and anyone interacting with Shipping & Receiving.

 

Team Lead's Pay/Benefits:

• $20/hr

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 4PM-12:30AM

Requirements:

• 1 year of shipping or receiving experience.
• 1 year of experience operating material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work at a rapid pace to meet deadlines. 
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. 
• Training and certification required for material-handling equipment. 
• Basic computer, mechanical, and math skills. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with coworkers and customers. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
