A high-tech software company serving the electric utility market, is seeking an experienced and reliable Sr. Field Technician/Master Electrician to support Agricultural Pump demand management (DM) projects in the South-Central United States (specifically Central Arkansas for this opportunity). This position will be responsible for the oversight of  third-party contractors, directly responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing load control equipment across all brands and models of agricultural irrigation pumps. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in electrical controls and motors, irrigation practices, and agricultural pump systems, along with excellent customer communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Training and oversight of third-party installation contractors, conducting quality assurance checks as required and assisting with the installation of electrical equipment
• Effectively communicate with the end user
• Test the DM equipment with the aid of computer software
• Update project management team with field installation activities
• Update customer management software (CMS) systems, as required
• Complete progress reports and associated paperwork
• Responsible for inventory management

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the Commercial and Industrial electrical field with vast knowledge in 3 phase motors, voltage and controls.
• Proven work experience as a Commercial and Industrial Electrician
• Knowledge of irrigation and pump systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs) a plus
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work remotely in a home office or in the field, as required
• Travel to installation sites as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google G Suite applications
• Able to communicate effectively with team members and meet project milestones
