Role Summary
A technical lead bridging electrical design and production. This role manages New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring electronic and electro-mechanical systems are manufacturable, testable, and scalable.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • NPI & Documentation: Lead the transition from R&D to production. Review designs for manufacturability, design for testing (DFM/DFT) and maintain technical data packages (schematics, layouts, and BOMs).
    • Serve as the primary contact for technical questions related to electrical and PCBA documentation.
    • Support prototype builds,pilot runs, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Process & Test Engineering: Develop assembly processes and design functional test systems (ATE, fixtures). Troubleshoot failures and drive improvements in yield and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with design teams, supply chain, and quality teams to align on technical requirements and support supplier qualification and onboarding, particularly for PCBAs and electrical components.
    • Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing and supplier teams on electrical assembly and testing.
    • Work closely with electrical engineering,procurement, quality and supplier engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements.
Requirements
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering and 5+ years in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing. 
  • Experience working with contract manufactures and PCBA suppliers,ERP & PLM systems
  • Strong problem-solving,communication and collaboration skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD and interpreting electrical drawings (ECAD), using lab equipment, and managing data in PDM/PLM systems. 

Preferred Attributes

  •  Knowledge of IPC standards, automated test software (LabVIEW), soldering, and Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiar with EMI/EMC considerations and compliance testing, ERP and PLM systems. Common lab equipment(signal generators,oscilloscopes,multimeters,power supplies).
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (e.G IPC-A-610,IPC-2221) and electronics manufacturing best practices.
