A company in the Columbus area is looking to add a skilled 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to their team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong training programs, and excellent growth potential.

 

Job Summary:

 

 

The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping production running smoothly. This person will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure. The role requires strong multi-craft skills and the ability to support both preventive and reactive maintenance activities.

 

 

Job Duties:

    • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fabrication work to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems.
    • Troubleshoot equipment issues, including motors, pumps, conveyors, furnaces, boilers, chillers, exhaust systems, chemical tanks, PLCs, and other industrial machinery.
    • Install and relocate equipment as needed, including rigging, aligning, and connecting systems to ensure proper operation.
    • Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including complex repairs requiring disassembly, reassembly, lubrication, adjustments, and calibration.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and use computerized systems for work orders, maintenance tracking, and communication.
    • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (training provided if needed).
    • Maintain accountability for assigned tools and equipment.

 

Pay/Benefits:

  • $30–$35/HR (based on experience)

Schedule:

  • 3rd Shift Mon-Fri 11pm-7am
  • May be required to work alternate hours or overtime as needed for high-priority projects

Maintenance Technician's Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience at a journeyman level.
    • Technical certifications in electrical, electronic systems, HVAC, machining, or mechanical disciplines preferred.
    • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, machining, and general industrial repair.
    • Experience in an industrial maintenance environment; fluid-application manufacturing experience is a plus.
    • Ability to read, write, communicate clearly, and use computer-based maintenance systems.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with attention to detail.
    • Physical ability to stand for long periods; bend, kneel, crawl; and lift/move up to 50 lbs when required.
    • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain through company training).
