Plumber - Helper

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Plumber - Helper position for a local Emory, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Assist plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment
• Measure, cut, and assemble pipes and fittings under supervision
• Hold pipes, fittings, and fixtures in place during installation
• Assist with diagnosing plumbing issues and locating leaks
• Transport tools, materials, and supplies to job sites
• Prepare and clean work areas before and after jobs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing systems and components
• Ability to read and follow basic plumbing layouts and instructions
• Experience using hand and power tools related to plumbing
• Basic understanding of pipe materials (PVC, copper, PEX)
• Ability to troubleshoot minor plumbing issues
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in tight spaces
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Tools & Equipment Used:

• Pipe wrenches, adjustable wrenches, and channel locks
• Pipe cutters, hacksaws, and pliers
• Drills and basic power tools
• Drain snakes and augers
• Soldering torches and plumbing hand tools
• Measuring tools and leak detection equipment
• Personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots)
