Monday Friday / 6:00am-2:30pm

 

A cement manufacturing company is seeking a Lab Technician to support quality control operations by performing testing, monitoring materials, and recording production data. This role helps ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with measurements and scales, and able to work in a laboratory setting within a manufacturing environment. Lab Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control (QC) tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished cement products.
• Weigh and measure materials accurately using laboratory scales and testing equipment
• Prepare, mix, and blend samples according to testing procedures
• Record and track testing data using ERP Systems.
• Monitor incoming materials and identify quality concerns or irregularities
• Full Ownership/Leadership of laboratory cleanliness, organization, and writing or  SOPS.
• Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and documentation
• Report material, equipment, or testing issues to production or management
• Follow all safety procedures while working in a dusty manufacturing environment
• Assist with general plant operations and basic production tasks as needed

 

Lat Technician Requirements:

• Previous lab technician or quality control experience preferred in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic knowledge of cement or construction materials is helpful.
• Strong math skills and ability to work with measurements and scales
• Attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to work in a lab environment within a manufacturing facility
• Ability to stand, move throughout the facility, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work overtime as needed
