Manufacturing Engineer (Immediate Hire)

Located in Stafford, VA

Salary: $105k - $115k

• NPI & Design Support: Lead the transition of products from R&D to full-scale production. Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturability (DFM) and cost-effectiveness.
• Technical Documentation: Interpret and clarify engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs. Act as the main technical contact for internal teams and external suppliers regarding technical data packages.
• Process Optimization: Develop and validate assembly methods, tooling, and test processes. Identify root causes for production issues and implement lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to align on technical specs and support supplier onboarding. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related).
• Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally working with electro-mechanical systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and experience with PLM/ERP systems.
• Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of various fabrication methods (CNC, molding, sheet metal, etc.) and assembly standards.
• Communication: Proven ability to collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve complex technical queries. 

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting and testing electro-mechanical assemblies.
