TIRE TECHNICIAN

As a Tire Technician, you will inspect and change tires on company trucks and excavators, as well as perform diagnosis and repair as required by company and DOT standards.
This position will also assist mechanic technicians as needed.


Essential Functions & Duties

  *   Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, pressure levels, valve quality, and overall health.
  *   Recommend and apply appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.
  *   Inspect tires on vehicles before and after installation.
  *   Perform tire rotations and balancing.
  *   Document work order details within the company's internal program(s).
  *   Ensure proper documentation is complete, including permits, repair orders filings, etc.
  *   Abide by all company policies and safety rules.
  *   Miscellaneous duties assigned by supervisor as needed.
 

Required Qualifications

 Strong problem-solving skills
 Must be detail oriented

 Proficient in multi-tasking and project management
Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and shop environments

Clean and maintain the maintenance shop and wash bays

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Education
 High school diploma or equivalent 

Experience

• to 2 years of diesel tire changing experience. 

Computer Skills

Basic Level - can operate a computer and notes into a system when needed.
