Position Overview:
As a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, you will perform assembly, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test hydraulic power units, lube systems, and components per drawings, procedures, and specifications.

• Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components including cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, accumulators, and hoses.

• Diagnose hydraulic malfunctions and perform failure analysis.

• Conduct fluid and filter exchanges based on oil sample analysis.

• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.

• Support quoting, billing, and technical assistance for repair and service work.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school or certifications preferred).

• 0–8+ years of hydraulic technician experience, depending on level:

  • Trainee: 0–1 years of hydraulic technician experience + 2–5 years of mechanical assembly/repair.

  • Tech 1–3/Senior: Progressively more experience and IFPS certifications (C&C, IHM, IHT) or equivalent.

• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.

• Solid understanding of hydraulic troubleshooting and repair techniques.

• Basic computer skills; ability to document work performed.

• Team-oriented, flexible, with strong communication skills.

Physical & Work Conditions:

• Standing, climbing, crouching, twisting, and lifting as required.

• Shop and outdoor work environments (some exposure to heat/cold; uniforms provided).
