Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals – Forest Lake is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for Landscape Crew Lead openings in Hugo, MN. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, leading small crews, and taking ownership of high‑quality landscape installation and maintenance projects.

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $27.00–$33.00/hour

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – Done (end time varies by project)

• Pay Frequency: Weekly

• Employment Type: Evaluation-to-Hire

• Location: Hugo, MN

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a landscaping crew in daily tasks including installation, maintenance, and site preparation

• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mowers, trimmers, and other landscape tools

• Install hardscapes, softscapes, edging, mulch, rock, plants, and other landscape materials

• Ensure job sites are completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards

• Communicate project needs, timelines, and expectations with team members and supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience required

• Prior crew lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred

• Ability to operate landscape equipment and hand tools safely

• Strong communication skills and ability to direct a team

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
