We are working with a large organization in Sarasota that is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant (Human Resources – Temporary) to support a high-volume department.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
Compensation: $21.00–$31.50/hour, depending on experience
Assignment Length: March 23, 2026 – May 8, 2026

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and office support to a large Human Resources department. This role requires strong organizational skills, advanced computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and office support to department leadership and staff
  • Answer and route phone calls, greet visitors, and assist internal and external customers
  • Maintain department filing systems, records, and HR-related documentation
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and calendars, including room reservations and materials
  • Assist with the interview process, including scheduling candidates and coordinating logistics
  • Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Process purchase orders, check requests, and departmental documentation
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain organized supply inventory
  • Monitor office equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
  • Assist with onboarding processes, including system access and employee setup
  • Support timekeeping and payroll-related administrative tasks
  • Maintain and track employee certifications and required documentation
  • Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative or office experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or professional administrative certification
  • Experience supporting HR or large departments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
