We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman to create accurate technical drawings and plans for boat docks, boat lifts, and marine structures. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field crews to translate concepts and site requirements into clear, build-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise technical drawings and layouts for boat docks, walkways, piers, and marine structures
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans
• Interpret site survey data, engineer sketches, and project specifications
• Ensure drawings comply with
  • Certificate or associate degree in Drafting, CAD, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD required; Revit or similar a plus)
  • Strong understanding of dimensioning, scaling, and technical documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with marine, structural, or construction drafting
  • Familiarity with dock systems, aluminum or steel fabrication, or waterfront projects
  • Knowledge of permitting requirements for marinas or shoreline construction
  • Field experience or understanding of construction practices
   local, state, and federal marine construction codes
• Revise designs based on field feedback, permitting requirements, or client changes
• Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to resolve design issues
