Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist

 

Job Summary:

Express Employment Professionals in Miami Dade South is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist for a leading healthcare system in the Miami Dade area. The ideal candidate has a strong background in physician billing, insurance collections, and healthcare compliance, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with long-term opportunities.

 

Requirements:

• Manage insurance and self-pay collections; follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances; investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and denials in a timely manner
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; process and submit claims accurately; apply knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT-4, and modifiers to ensure proper billing and reimbursement
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams to resolve account issues; maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all collection activity
• Ensure compliance with physician billing, regulatory, and healthcare compliance guidelines; meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; minimum 2 years of accounts receivable or healthcare collections experience required
• One of the following certifications preferred: CPC-A (AAPC), CCA (AHIMA), CCS (AHIMA), CCS-P (AHIMA), NCIS (NCCT), or other recognized coding and billing certification
• Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT-4 and modifiers; strong understanding of physician billing, regulatory, and compliance guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude

 Schedule & Pay & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday | 8:30AM – 5:00PM
