Senior Engineer

Located in Jamestown, NY

Salary: 70,000-85,000

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our metal manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving instincts, and the ability to guide projects from concept to completion. What You’ll Do

• Lead engineering projects related to metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, or finishing

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term corrective actions

• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams

• Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications

• Evaluate new equipment, tools, and technologies

• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards

• Mentor junior engineers and technicians (management experience is a plus)

?? What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of engineering experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or a related field

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Strong understanding of metal properties, tolerances, and manufacturing processes

• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)

• Proven ability to lead projects and work cross-functionally

• Bonus: Prior team leadership or management experience

• A motivated, energetic, and solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred Technical Skills

• CNC machining or programming

• Welding processes (MIG, TIG, robotic welding)

• Sheet metal forming or stamping

• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

• Root cause analysis and corrective action tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
