Fire Protection Technician (NICET I)

Salary: $20-$25.00 per hour BOE

We are currently seeking a NICET Level I Technician who is ready to move beyond the
basics and master the intersection of fire protection and modern technology.
The Role
As a NICET Level I Technician, you will be the boots on the ground ensuring that our
systems—and the lives they protect—are ready for anything. You will work alongside
senior specialists to execute high-stakes inspections and installations for commercial,
municipal, and military projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• System Testing: Perform functional testing of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps,
and backflow preventers per NFPA 25.
• Tech-Integrated Installation: Use 3D-coordinated shop drawings and mobile
field software to install and document system components with zero-clash
accuracy.
• Compliance Reporting: Generate professional, digital inspection reports that
give our clients peace of mind and keep them in code compliance.
• Safety Leadership: Maintain a "Safety First" mindset on every job site, especially
when operating on high-clearance military installations like Camp Lejeune.

Qualifications: 
• Certification: An active NICET Level I in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based
Systems or Water-Based Layout.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in the fire protection industry.
• Clearance Ready: Must have a clean background and driving record, as much of
our work requires DBIDS/Base Access.
• Aptitude: You’re comfortable with technology—if you’ve used ServiceTrade,
Procore, or Bluebeam, you’ll fit right in.
• Local Pride: You live in or are willing to relocate to the Jacksonville/Wilmington
area.
