Assembly Technician

Located in La Crosse, WI

Salary: $20.00/hour

Express Employment is on the hunt for qualified Assembly Technicians for La Crosse’s premier heat exchange/refrigeration fabrication plant. These positions are eval hire.  This position assists in the assembly of HVAC industrial sized units.  Experience with hand and power tools is necessary and you must be able to pass a tape measure test.

 

Wage & Hours: 

 

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm, $20/hour - could flex the start time to 5:30 AM or 6 AM if needed

 

 

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Assemble HVAC large industrial sized units
• Use a tape measure proficiently
• Install parts, caulk units, clean units, and tape units
• Assist with the framing of the unit and adhere to all safety procedures
• Must be able to do squaring of the unit and peel plastic and read blueprints
• Use of drills, grinders, and sanders and other tools
• Responsible for cleaning work area
• Follow/learn all quality procedures
• Participate in on-the-job training
• Communicate to leadership all needs and questions that you may have
• Assist in other areas if needed

 

Job Requirements include:

• HSD or GED preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40lbs throughout shift
• Ability to take direction well and assist others as needed
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure and read blueprints
• Must be responsible, personable, and have good attendance/work ethic
• Recent work history of 1 year is preferred
• Heavy lifting is required
• Excellent attention to detail and good manual dexterity
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to safety required
