Temporary Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic)

Job Summary

We are seeking a temporary skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficient production operations.


Pay & Schedule

  • Shift - 5A-5P
  • Pay Rate - $25-$33/hour 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in industrial equipment.
  • Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and system integration.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation of repairs, inspections, and parts replacements.
  • Assist with inventory control, including ordering spare parts and managing maintenance supplies.
  • Train production personnel on proper equipment operation and basic preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Report and/or correct unsafe conditions or required building/equipment repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field and 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards required; OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with equipment installation, repair, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and GMPs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, monitor performance, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated dependability, flexibility, energy, and efficiency.
