Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk for one of the client we service in the Hamilton area.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and systems, including Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and UltiPro. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices using accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of payable transactions
  • Manage data entry related to accounts payable and receivable activities
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions for audit purposes
  • Support payroll processing tasks using systems like ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, and UltiPro
  • Collaborate with human resources on related HRIS data entry and account reconciliation tasks
  • Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify discrepancies or potential issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, and Ceridian
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable management and general ledger functions
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation and analysis efficiently
  • Experience working within HRIS systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
  • Prior experience in human resources or payroll support is advantageous
