Position Overview:
A Logistics Customer Sales Business Development Manager is a self-motivated and highly organized individual who is eager to work in a fast-paced Logistics environment. Our ideal candidate has cooperative and collaborative work style, is driven to succeed, and can communicate clearly, thoughtfully, and effectively. We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to build meaningful relationships, who can gauge client needs and position value, service, and quality. Has a proven track record of success in the Logistics/3PL market of building business and brings along an existing book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within target industries
- Leverage industry relationships and network to generate immediate revenue opportunities
- Develop tailored logistics solutions (TL, LTL, brokerage, etc.) based on client needs
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize margin and long-term value
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue and gross margin targets
- Qualify leads to verify that they are viable opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to grow revenue by leveraging the strengths of the company
What Success Looks Like:
- Rapid ramp-up of new revenue
- Development of a strong, repeatable book of business
- Consistent quota attainment and margin performance
Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) of proven success in logistics/transportation sales (3PL, freight brokerage, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to generate and close new business
- Existing book of business or strong industry network preferred
- Deep understanding of pricing, margins, and logistics operations
- Highly self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary + commission
