Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components, and documentation to ensure compliance with strict aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inspection processes, precision measurement tools, and quality systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials, parts, and components to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and purchase orders
• Review and validate certifications, test reports, and documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformance, material certs)
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges as required
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and initiate corrective action processes
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inspection records in compliance with aerospace standards
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as AS9100 and ISO quality standards
• Follow proper handling, storage, and traceability procedures for aerospace components
• Support internal audits and quality system improvements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred
• 1–3+ years of receiving inspection or quality inspection experience (aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is a plus
• Experience using precision measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Office)
